The Standard Announces Changes for Medical and Dental Occs and Residents

The Standard has announced changes for medical and dental occupations and residents, making it easier than ever for physicians and dentists to apply for income protection.

• The Standard no longer requires all medical and dental occupations to submit a blood profile and urinalysis due solely to their occupation. Medical underwriting requirements will be determined by issue age and amount applied for, regardless of occupation.

• Medical residents can now apply for new-in-practice limits — $6,500 or $7,500, depending on specialty — with Simplified Underwriting.
